Nigeria's Election 2015 #NigeriaDecides

The election process has been really wonderful, Nigerians have surprised plus stunned the world by making the election process peaceful. The suspense of having to wait for results in batches has been pretty interesting. It was like watching the world cup with so much anticipation of who is going to win, you know that feeling right.

At a point I told my sibling to get me the system so that I could use excel to compute the result. Believe me the atmosphere was and has been really tensed up.

But one thing is sure that whoever wins...#Godwins

The interesting part of the election process are the graphics/edited pictures I received from friends. I will upload just a few, you are going to laugh your heart out...You probably might have seen some. The change we want is here!!!

Ricoh puts 360-degree video capture in your pocket with new Theta camera

The sci-fi-looking camera can capture panoramic photos in a single shot as well as video that can be endlessly manipulated with your fingertips on your iOS or Android device.

                      

Ricoh's Theta is a slim stick of a camera that, with a single press of its shutter release, captures the entire scene around you -- top to bottom -- in one shot, creating fully spherical images using its proprietary ultra-small twin-lens optical system.

The shots, which can be viewed and played with on a Windows or Mac computer, or iOS or Android devices, are pretty awesome all things considered, but whenever I showed the Theta to someone the inevitable question was, "Does it shoot video?" It didn't, but now it does.

The new second-generation Ricoh Theta M15 is capable of capturing spherical videos up to three minutes long that Ricoh says have no stitch lines when processed with its video-creation tool that's part of the Theta's Windows or Mac application.

Like its photos, the Theta's image size, shape and composition can be changed simply by pushing it around with your fingers on a touchscreen or with your mouse. You'll also be able to share up to six seconds of video using Ricoh's dedicated site, which can then be pushed out to Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.

Ricoh is also opening up its API and providing a SDK so others can develop apps for the camera.

The Ricoh Theta M15 arrives in November for about $300 in the US ($100 less than the original) and around £270 in the UK. Australian pricing wasn't announced, but it converts to roughly AU$338.

Behind The Scenes: Chris Shalom Shoots New Video For “You Are The Reason” [@Shalom_Chris]

The song that has caught across, spreading like wild fire, becoming the worship leaders favourite and the worshipers muse all over Nigeria, Africa and beyond is finally receiving a video from the original writer of the song – Chris Shalom!

Chris Shalom released the first version of “You are the Reason” in 2010 and supported the effort with a video in 2011. The song was featured on his first album as well. The remix which was released in July 2014 will form a part of other great works that will make up the 3rd album due for release soon. Now with a video on the way, Chris Shalom leaves an unequivocal note in our minds about this masterpiece and the inspiration behind it.

Chris Shalom is a passionate song writer, music producer, and dynamic vocalist. He also plays the keyboard excellently and has coordinated several Christ Embassy choirs in the course of his journey on this path. He is ever grateful to God and to his mentor, teacher and father, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Phd. who has been a major inspiration and dubbed him “the Golden Voice.”

The video was shot by Marthins Harrison and has cameos from Chris Shalom’s band – Jesusbreed and Obi Shine.

U.S. boosts security at government buildings citing terrorist threat

WASHINGTON, Oct 28 (Reuters) - The United States is increasing security at government buildings in Washington and other cities because of continuing terrorist threats and last week's attack on the Canadian parliament, the Homeland Security Department said on Tuesday.

A U.S. official said there had been no credible information about any specific plot against a U.S. target, but many calls to attack the United States have been issued, including on social media, by supporters of groups such as Islamic State and al Qaeda.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the new measures followed a stream of threats from militant groups which U.S. agencies have been monitoring for months.

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said in a statement: "Given world events, prudence dictates a heightened vigilance in the protection of U.S. government installations and our personnel."

He said: "The reasons for this action are self-evident: the continued public calls by terrorist organizations for attacks on the homeland and elsewhere, including against law enforcement and other government officials, and the acts of violence targeted at government personnel and installations in Canada and elsewhere recently."

Johnson said he had ordered extra security at "various U.S. Government buildings in Washington DC and other major cities and locations around the country."

Details of the actions to be taken by the Federal Protective Service, which covers more than 9,500 facilities, were "law-enforcement sensitive" and would vary in different locations. Johnson gave no details.

Johnson warned U.S. state and local security services to be on their guard especially for possible "small-scale attacks by a lone offender or a small group of individuals."

Last Wednesday, Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, a man described by Canadian authorities as troubled and drug addicted, shot dead a soldier at Canada's war memorial in Ottawa and charged into Parliament, exchanging fire with security officers before being shot dead.

Police said Zehaf-Bibeau, a convert to Islam, made a video of himself before the attack, which they said provided evidence that he had ideological and political motives. (Reporting by Mohammad Zargham and Mark Hosenball; Editing by David Storey and Grant McCool)
